10-Port Unmanaged Desktop Switch with 8-Port PoE

Dahua DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 10-Port 8-Port PoE Gigabit Switch

The Dahua DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 is a 10-port unmanaged Gigabit PoE switch designed for IP CCTV surveillance systems, network devices and other PoE applications. It provides eight PoE-enabled Gigabit Ethernet ports along with two additional Gigabit uplink ports, making it suitable for connecting multiple IP cameras and other network devices through a compact desktop switch.

The switch combines Gigabit network connectivity, intelligent PoE functions, PoE Watchdog, long-distance PoE transmission and high-power PoE support. These features make the Dahua DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 a practical networking solution for CCTV installations where several PoE devices need to be connected and powered from a single switch.

10-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Switch

The Dahua DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 has a total of 10 RJ-45 Ethernet ports.

Ports 1–8 provide 10/100/1000 Mbps PoE connectivity, while Ports 9–10 provide 10/100/1000 Mbps uplink connectivity. Because all ports support Gigabit Ethernet, the switch can provide high-speed network connectivity for compatible IP cameras and other Ethernet devices.

As an unmanaged switch, it is designed for simple installation without requiring complex network configuration. This makes it suitable for installations where straightforward plug-and-play connectivity is preferred.

8 PoE Ports

One of the main features of the DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 is its eight PoE ports. These ports can transmit both network data and electrical power over Ethernet to compatible PoE devices.

This makes the switch particularly useful for IP CCTV installations because compatible cameras can receive power and data through the same network cable, reducing the need for separate power adapters and cables at every camera location.

96W PoE Power Budget

The switch provides a total PoE power budget of 96W. Dahua specifies support for IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at, Hi-PoE and IEEE 802.3bt standards.

The available PoE power should be considered when connecting multiple devices because the total power consumption of connected devices must remain within the switch’s available power budget.

Up to 90W BT PoE

The DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 supports high-power PoE, including IEEE 802.3bt up to 90W under the specified configuration. This provides additional power capacity for compatible high-power network devices.

Dahua’s published transmission table also specifies different power and bandwidth capabilities depending on cable length and PoE mode.

Long-Distance PoE up to 250 Meters

Another useful feature of the Dahua DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 is long-distance PoE transmission.

Dahua specifies PoE transmission of up to 250 meters when the long-distance mode is enabled. At this extended distance, network bandwidth can be reduced to 10 Mbps.

This feature can be useful for CCTV installations where cameras need to be installed farther away from the network switch than the standard Ethernet transmission distance.

The actual transmission distance and performance can vary depending on cable quality, connected-device power consumption and installation conditions.

PoE Watchdog

The switch includes PoE Watchdog functionality. This feature monitors connected PoE devices and can help automatically restart a device when a problem is detected.

For CCTV systems, this can reduce the need for manual intervention when an IP camera becomes unresponsive. It can be especially useful when cameras are installed in locations that are difficult to access.

Intelligent PoE

The DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 also supports intelligent PoE power management. This helps the switch manage power consumption across connected PoE devices while maintaining network connectivity.

Intelligent PoE functionality can be useful in CCTV installations with multiple cameras because power requirements may vary between connected devices.

8-Pin PoE Power Supply

The switch supports 8-pin PoE power assignment, using both signal and idle pairs for power delivery. Dahua states that this design can improve compatibility with IPC devices, reduce cable loss and increase loading capacity.

This is particularly relevant for PoE surveillance installations where reliable power delivery is important.

Gigabit Network Performance

All ten ports on the DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 support Gigabit Ethernet. The eight PoE ports operate at 10/100/1000 Mbps, while the two uplink ports also support 10/100/1000 Mbps.

The switch provides a 20 Gbps switching capacity and a packet forwarding rate of 14.88 Mpps, according to Dahua’s published specifications.

This makes the switch suitable for network environments where multiple IP cameras are transmitting video simultaneously.

Suitable for CCTV and IP Camera Systems

The Dahua DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 is particularly suitable for IP CCTV systems with multiple PoE cameras.

It can be used for:

• IP CCTV cameras
• Dahua IP camera systems
• Small and medium surveillance networks
• Offices
• Shops
• Warehouses
• Homes
• Schools
• Hotels
• Supermarkets
• Commercial buildings
• Long-distance CCTV installations

Its eight PoE ports provide enough connectivity for a small IP surveillance system while the two additional uplink ports provide network connection to other networking equipment.

Metal Desktop Design

The switch has a compact metal enclosure and is designed for desktop installation. Its dimensions are approximately 190 × 100 × 30 mm, with a net weight of around 0.50 kg according to Dahua’s published specifications.

The metal housing provides a practical form factor for CCTV and networking installations where space is limited.

Wide Operating Temperature

The DH-PFS3010-8GT-96 is specified for an operating temperature range of -10°C to +55°C and an operating humidity range of 5%–95% RH.

This makes it suitable for a range of indoor networking environments, although installation conditions should remain within the manufacturer’s specifications.
